Yesterday, I discussed the photographic benefits of the new LED lighting on the carnival rides. I can create high-quality images at low ISOs. The light levels are so bright that I got details like it was midday, but it is better since I don’t have harsh midday shadows, and we get the fantastic sparkle of color.
Here’s another benefit of the LED lights, which I didn’t realize yesterday. We get the flexibility of changing colors. I shot these three pictures of the Orbiter, one of my favorites (not for riding but the visuals), within a minute with these color variations.
Sony did great here, capturing the glow of the LEDs. These are the standard Sony colors, unlike the posts I did earlier, where I experimented with a different post-processed look. Sony’s colors can be intense, but they work well for certain subjects, like the ones here.
