We are back in Paris, starting our third leg of coverage from my 2022 European trip. I closed part two of my coverage in Switzerland, and you might remember I was at the Geneva train station about to board this TGV high-speed train.

After a three-and-a-half-hour ride, we are back at the Gare de Lyon station in Paris, where we started our Swiss trip a few days before.

Paris is much larger and urbane than Geneva or Zurich. We are trading the clean cities, quaint towns, and breathtaking landscapes of Switzerland for grand urban landscapes. I love both. I love the contrast. One of the best things about Europe is the short distances between very different cultures, all linked by high-speed rail.
