After securing the Louvre pyramid photos I had hoped for, we continued exploring. I don’t know if this stone structure is part of the Louvre, but it’s adjacent to the giant museum. We are on the western edge of the Louvre, walking north on the Place du Carrousel.
I was pushing the in-lens image stabilization again to capture motion blurs of people walking through the city. This image is at 1/2 of a second at a 24mm equivalent.
I like urban landscapes with no people for the purest possible image. However, when people are around, creating a motion blur has two advantages. It makes a dynamic image with a sense of movement but also deemphasizes the pedestrians since they are not crisply rendered.
