We continued our night stroll through the streets of Paris the same day we returned from Switzerland. It was getting late, and we were hungry, not eating anything since our modest lunch in Geneva.

I forget if we seriously considered eating at Bistrot Valoris, but it was too fancy for the quick dinner we wanted that night. It is beautiful, however, and worth a photograph. The street lights created an odd greenish-yellow color cast, and the crispness of black and white looked preferable. I cropped in, too. The original picture was too wide, and I should’ve zoomed in.

The variety of cafes and bistros continues to amaze me. If I lived in Paris, I could imagine finding a favorite and returning frequently. These establishments appear owner-run, and they would get to know repeat customers. Unfortunately, we don’t have that kind of relationship with any restaurant in Austin.
