Despite the classic architectural exterior, like its nearby department store competitor, the interior of Printemps was quite modern. It’s a stark contrast from the Galeries Lafayette and its impressive atrium.

On the other hand, why compete head-on when you can contrast? If your competitor is classic and traditional, perhaps you can be bold and modern. This display certainly unambiguously showcased Tommy Hilfiger.

I don’t have a preference for old or new, as long as it’s remarkable. As a photographer, I gravitate towards eye-catching scenes. A bold blue, leading lines, and upscale sparkle work for me.
