Blue Hour Eiffel Tower – Paris, France

I was hoping to make it close to the Eiffel Tower during peak blue hour, and with some scrambling, I achieved my goal.

I didn’t want just any picture; I preferred a symmetrical composition directly perpendicular to the structure. Heading there from the Seine River, I saw only a painted median of a busy street as the only viable spot to make the shot.

This part of the street wasn’t truly dangerous since a painted triangle directed traffic away from the center. However, it wasn’t meant for pedestrians to be camped out there, either. I joined a few other tourists braving the traffic to create their memorable Eiffel Tower image.
