This is the last post from inside the Palace of Versailles, another combination of dramatic architecture and motion blur — on the stairs — like I did here. However, I still have more to show you from Versailles; we’ll move outside next.
The first picture of the motion blur on the stairs seems a bit expected. I like the simplicity and prefer the architecture in this image, which is unexpectedly minimal on the lower floor, looking through the stairwell into a baroque upper floor.
Half a second is the minimum for creating adequate motion blur of people, though it depends on how fast they move. The other stairs picture is at one second, which is hard to handhold without extra support.
