Gardens, Palace of Versailles – Versailles, France

We’ve moved outside of the Palace at Versailles into the gardens. What you see here isn’t even the central garden; it’s a side yard of sorts, nestled between two massive stone staircases.

The design is symmetrical, and the first picture shows the main walkway through the middle.

We are now viewing the same garden from the left side. Notice the circular pond on the right? It’s the same circular pond that is in the center of the first photo. On the left, you can see a wall that supports the stairway leading to the gardens. There’s an identical design on the right side of this area.
