After a full day of exploring the Palace of Versailles and returning to Paris for dinner at a cafe, my wife was done. I returned with her to the hotel. But the night was still young, and I was up for night photography. It began to rain, so I borrowed a stout umbrella from the hotel and ventured north.
Passing by a set of cafes shot previously, I continued on through a park. Then I saw an alien creature covering a building. The rainy, soaked cobblestone added texture and a desirable shine, making for an outer-worldly scene.
Upon closer inspection, it was a cafe — a rather unusual one, unlike any I’ve seen in Paris named Florida. It looked much more colorful and mysterious than anything I’ve ever seen in the Sunshine State. The distinctive design worked, at least for me to take photographs, though I wasn’t up for more food after dinner.
