Motion Blur, Long Escalator at Heathrow – Longford, UK

We quickly hopped from Paris to London, actually just from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Heathrow Airport, before taking the long flight back to Austin.

One of Austin’s big downsides — though it’s getting slightly better — is the lack of direct flights. While the city is rapidly growing, its close proximity to major hubs in Dallas Fort-Worth and Houston makes direct flights a challenging prospect. There are no direct flights from Paris to Austin, but luckily, there is one from London.

We had a relaxing two-and-a-half hours until our next flight, and I was itching to capture airport interiors. Heathrow is an extremely large and modern airport, and the long escalators attracted my attention. I found this vantage point from a railing to shoot a half-second exposure with a delightful amount of motion blur.
