Rounding out the mini-series on the Halloween Cosplay event at Precision Camera, we have both subjects, Jack Sparrow and Pennywise, together. I posted individual portraits of them over the last two days. Though the two characters are from different movies, I like the interaction between these two “actors” in this photograph.
Despite using an f1.4 lens at its maximum aperture in the first two portraits, I adjusted to f2.8 to get more depth of field and ensure sharp focus for both characters — it worked. I have a tendency to shoot at the widest aperture, but that’s not always appropriate.
I also used a brand new camera, which I purchased a few months ago, the Sony A7C II. I shot my long European series with a Fujifilm X-E3 two years ago, and then I upgraded to the Fuji X-S10. But that was short-lived. While I shot a good amount with the X-S10, I never bonded with it. Shortly after, by April 2023, I moved over to Sony with the A7C.
I still use the A7C, and along with the A7C II, I now have a two-body setup for the Sony system.
