I have another portrait shot at Precision Camera, though obviously not Halloween-themed like the last few. I made this during the Fall Expo in early November. After noticing their outfits, I asked Rachel and Abigale to pose together to form a holiday-themed shoot.
The actual set had a gray background, and I picked an image that featured the most playful interaction. To further emphasize the Christmas-y look, I changed the background and added a few more cosmetic tweaks. It resulted in a festive portrait unlike any I’ve done before.
I used the Sony A7C paired with the new Viltrox 28mm f4.5, noteworthy as the smallest autofocusing Sony E-mount lens. It’s an odd lens — pancake thin with an unchangeable f4.5 aperture. It worked great, however, and was surprisingly usable.
