I’m continuing with the backtracking through the University of Texas campus, shooting the same scenes at night. I captured a closeup monochrome of the Ellsworth Kelly Chapel two hours before this photo as I started my photo walk. That first picture is an architectural abstract; this one is straightforward forward, documenting the entire building.
Despite its unimaginative framing, there are some notable details in this picture. Most apparent are the lovely colored stained glass windows beautifully glowing from the inside. It’s a point of view you don’t get during the daytime. A bit more interesting is the light projected onto the wall from behind, creating a silhouette of trees and myself with my raised arms taking the picture.
Like yesterday’s picture of the gym, I shot at 1/4 second in this marginal light to get the highest possible ISO. Even so, I only managed ISO 320, but the picture is less noisy since I didn’t lift the shadows as much. Still, I ran it through Topaz Photo AI to do some cleanup.
