We were meeting a friend from Austin coming in on a later flight, which gave us enough time to catch lunch. I forget how I found this place; it was probably an online search. Crash Burger was a fantastic pick. It was nothing fancy—a fast-food burger, but not a chain. The latest Google feedback shows a 4.6 rating with over 1,000 reviews.
The restaurant appeared to be an old converted gas station. It had touches of nostalgia but had that non-slick local touch.
The most interesting visual detail was this photograph applied to a large window, creating the illusion of a glass garage door. The selective framing of this establishment makes it more impressive than it is in reality. The architectural touches are the extras. Go there for the burger.
