Before we leave Mission Concepcion, a quick external look around the building is worth it. Although my favorite part of the church is its interior, as I showed you yesterday, there are some nice angles on the outside. I particularly like the dual tower design.
With nobody around and without any technology, these are timeless views. As I indicated a couple of days ago, these photos have a genuine old-world European feeling. Except it might be more crowded in Europe. This is a primitive frontier structure with limited ornamentation. I imagine many of the European churches are significantly more elaborate.
Still, a quick two-hour drive south from Austin transports me to another time and another world. It is certainly a worthwhile trip.
