When using a fisheye lens, circular objects immediately attract my attention. Although it may be an obvious composition, centering the circular object near the center and having the rest wrap around makes for a double whammy of distortion.
I was at LAX transferring to my next flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu when I passed through this corridor. The signage says it’s Terminal 5. I took this picture three years ago, and since then, LAX has gone through extensive renovation. When I recently flew out of LAX, much of Terminal 4 had been reconfigured. I’m unsure if this Oculus skylight still exists.
The TTartisan 11mm Fisheye on the GFX creates clear circular vignetting, which I crop out, often with a 4×3 aspect ratio. This one worked better in a square format.
