Conceptually, this picture looks similar to the one I featured two days ago. But there are enough differences that I thought it’s worth its own post. I’m in downtown Honolulu shooting upward with a fisheye lens mounted on a Fujifilm GFX 50S II, the same as two days ago. Added to the mix is a healthy number of trees intermixed with skyscrapers.
Combining trees and skyscrapers creates an entirely different atmosphere. The brilliant sun is now blocked by the trees’ canopy, creating a more calming and protected feeling.
I shot this from Tamarind Park, as I identified yesterday. It’s not very far from the (mostly) tree-less skyscraper fisheye from a couple of days ago. You will notice some of the same buildings in a different orientation. Which do you like better?
