Lantern and Marina Bay Sands

Lantern and Marina Bay Sands - Singapore

Lantern and Marina Bay Sands – Singapore

For this wide shot from the top of the Fullerton Bay Hotel, we put all the elements together. You get to see the pool that I featured a few days ago, the Lantern Bar, and the Marina Bay Sands in the distance. You get a good idea of the rooftop space from this perspective.

I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I was headed to the bathroom, where I snapped the picture of the flying saucer-like Chinese Restaurant. Today’s view is what I saw when returning from the bathroom.

I only brought one Sony lens, a 24mm f2.8, attached to my Sony A7C. I might have owned just one lens for the Sony back then; I was beginning to build out my system. I’m fine with the image, but an alternative, with a long focal length, would have been to have a tight framing on the Lantern Bar, include some reflections off the pool, and the background Marina Bay Sands. Telephoto compression would’ve created an interesting perspective.
