I wanted a close-up of The Fullerton Hotel, where I was staying. Some of my previous skyline pictures included this unique structure, but it was one of many buildings. The building was originally built as a post office in 1928, and converted into a hotel in 2000
For an elegant upscale hotel, the bright pink color seems a bit garish. I’m not sure if that’s their usual color or if they were dressed up for a particular event.
Esplanade Drive in front of the hotel is a large and busy street, though remarkably, I didn’t capture many cars. I see a red streak, so I might have gotten one vehicle during the comparably short 4-second exposure.
