Now that I have finished the Singapore 2023 Series, I have a few announcements to make. People who are subscribed to my free magazine know this already. I broke the news a while ago. However, I have yet to mention it on the blog.
After 33 years at my last employer and a total of 39 years of working, I have retired from the corporate world. That was at the end of May, and I’ve been enjoying my work-free life for four months now. So far, so good. I’ve actually been traveling a lot recently with my newfound freedom. However, I’ve continued my daily blogging without missing a beat. I’ve now posted daily on the blog for nine years without missing a single day.
My manager at work arranged a retirement party in Austin, and we also had people “dialing” in from around the world via video conference. It was very touching, and it created a much-appreciated sense of closure.
When I started the blog fifteen years ago, at the age of 46, I wondered if I would continue blogging into retirement. I now know the answer to that question. I plan to continue to blog for the foreseeable future and also continue with my (usually) monthly magazine issues. I also recently started a new social media presence, which I’ll discuss in a couple of days.
Blog readers, you’ll love my free monthly photography magazine. Signup for the free magazine to get articles and topics not discussed on the blog.
