Retro Car, Old Architecture – Havana, Cuba

We continued west, and the late afternoon light started to turn magical. The sun peeked from behind the building, casting a golden glow with minimal flare.

The blue car looks suspiciously similar to the white car from this post. A blog reader, Franz, commented that the car looks like a “Polki Fiat” or a Russian “Lada,”. Either way, he knows a lot more about these old cars than I do. I do know these cars didn’t have a great reputation, but visually, it looks great in this photo. Imagine seeing a sleek, modern vehicle; it would create a visual cacophony.

The old architecture, with its balconies, wraps the street in character, and the gleaming white Capitol anchors the background. I live for creating urban landscapes like this, and there are few places in the world where I can capture these kinds of images.
