Orange Classic – Havana, Cuba

I’ve featured some classic cars in this series, especially in the beginning at the airport. However, those cars were beaters and not beautifully restored. This one, as you can see, is a beauty.

This orange classic took me by surprise. Most of the nicest restored cars are concentrated in the city center near the Capitol, where the tourists are. They act as taxis or a way to cruise around the city. I didn’t expect to see such a finely restored specimen in this neighborhood.

Not expecting the car, I quickly shot a couple of pictures. The framing is imperfect because I wasn’t fully prepared. Yet, I like how the picture turned out, contrasting the shiny car with its bright paint job against the slowly fading neighborhood, with touches of pastel.
