For my second street scenes post, I feature an old Ford in a neighborhood I find more interesting than others. Maybe one run-down area looks like any other, but there are differences. Some are clearly fancier and catering to tourists. This place looks like a working-class district, though in Cuba, perhaps most places are working-class. I’ll show more of this street tomorrow for the third and final installment.
Like yesterday’s photo, we have a comparably broad view, though I’m using a 48mm perspective. Again, I’m far enough back that I can take in the entire street.
We have groups of people milling around, though the eye goes right to the blue Ford station wagon spewing blue smoke. It’s clearly a vibrant district, with some decent architecture, that is deteriorating. There is an unexpected structure at the end of the street, which deserves its own post, coming up soon.
