I’ve featured multiple classic cars in Cuba, in all sorts of conditions. This Cuban Jalopy was in rough shape. While this orange Chevy was pristine. Today’s gold Buick looks regal and expensive. Elegant in its execution without garish colors.
Unfortunately, the vehicle was far away, and even my maximum 70mm didn’t get close enough. I even cropped that image, which makes it larger. Still, you can see the vehicle has presence on the road, and the picture shows it well-positioned on the street. An environmental portrait of sorts. The sincerely smiling woman is giving me a peace sign, though it might be hard to see in these web-sized pictures.
We’ve walked back into the heavily touristy section of Old Havana, so it’s target-rich with restored cars. I’ll feature more soon.
