High End Pedicab with Matching Dog – Havana, Cuba

As I did on the first two days, we walked to the venue for our model shoot, which gave us the perfect opportunity for street photography. I generally shifted from taking pictures of architecture, particularly the once-grand type that has fallen into disrepair, to more pictures of people.

I found this scene endlessly interesting and cute. First, we have an aqua-colored pedicab, a high-end one. I’m not even sure it is a pedicab since I don’t see any pedals. It looks like a stylized tuk-tuk I’ve seen in India, often green and yellow, with a fancier paint job.

The icing on the tuk-tuk is the dog with the matching-color aqua harness. I wonder, too, if the man on the left is the driver, since his t-shirt is also color-coordinated. The whole setup is very design-oriented for a place that generally didn’t look very designed.
