One of the important goals of this trip was to help the Cuban people. In addition to injecting money into their economy via our activities, we also brought gifts and donations.
We all brought an extra suitcase or two of useful items for the Casa staff and family. Those included medications, cosmetics, toys, shoes, and sports equipment. I took an extra check-in bag of assorted items and left it in Cuba for someone to use.
As you can see below, there was an overflow of gifts that spanned multiple tables.
The drinking and getting together at the party were fun, but sharing the gifts might have been the highlight.
