For the third image in this mini-series, I walked around the corner to the playground entrance. I was looking for an alternative composition since my options were limited by the fence.

Two of the kids spotted me, so I zoomed into 70mm, dropped the aperture to f/2.8, and shot through the gate. I knew the large aperture would somewhat soften the foreground bars.

I shot a few to make sure the boy were centered within one of the gate’s openings. I didn’t go inside and shoot more of the actual game. Capturing the kid through the fence satisfied my need for an alternative view of the playground. I was then off to explore my next street photography opportunity.
