I’m back using the Leica D-Lux 8, and I’m also down in Lower Manhattan. After several posts with the Camp Snap and X Half, the D-Lux 8 pictures look stunning. As I said previously, this camera offers the minimum image quality I require for serious photography. The snaps I took with the other two cameras were really a test to coax good image quality on a limited device.
I shoot neon anytime I have the chance. I saw this one at a noodle shop in the food court at the Chelsea Market. I love the soft red glow cast by the lighting.
The Chelsea Market is worth a visit, with an abundance of shops and restaurants. Most appear to be local shops, and I didn’t recognize any chain outlets. It’s also great for photography with oodles of texture and detail.
