One evening on Waikiki Beach, I was shooting west towards the setting sun, hoping to create silhouettes — watching the people at play and capturing the bodies in motion. The conversion to black and white and increased contrast made the image pop, especially against the waves. It came out better than I thought. I wish I shot more.
I used a 400mm equivalent with the Panasonic ZS50. I rarely zoom this much, which created something different, but interesting nevertheless. Part of my experiments in the Photo Sketchbook Collection.
