Here’s one more color Drink and Click portrait, which I took on the same day as yesterday’s of Sissi. The unusual posing was courtesy of another photographer’s idea. I rather like how each person is look at something different while Tenille acknowledges my presence.
This November 30th shoot was at Spider House near the University of Texas campus. The place is a mess, in an interesting kind of way. Lots of kitsch strewn about making for a potential fun place to shoot and experiment with atypical portraits.
The lighting at these places are always challenging. There was a preëxisting incandescent light to the left and an additional continuous light on a stand to make the area passably lit. Even so scene was rather flat and dull. I admit that the post processing added a bit of dimension via burning and dodging, contrast, curves and color temperature changes. It didn’t take to long to do, but made a noticeable improvement.
