I was dressing like photo geek on Saturday, sporting a vintage looking Polaroid T-shirt that I found at The Gap, of all places. I thought it was appropriate attire for the Four X Five Photo Fest in San Antonio.
There, I spotted Jason with a white Polaroid Originals OneStep2 camera. It’s a newly released, retro styled plastic camera that shoots the traditional looking square Polaroid film. I struck up a conversation. He’s a photographer from San Antonio. His wonderful mustache, however, was too good to resist. I asked if I could make a portrait.
Unlike my usual Drink and Click portraits, shot in challenging light, I shot Jason in good window light. In black and white, which has become the style of choice, for many of my portraits.
