The organizers at the Four X Five Photo Fest did something interesting. They printed participant submissions and displayed them in a square format. When grouped together, they formed an intriguing patchwork of imagery. It reminds me of Instagram, if it were ever manifested in physical form.
Participants also received Five 5×5 prints free, for use in a print swap. These little artistic touches show how this Photo Fest is different from other gear oriented events. It puts photography and photographers first.
Like all the photos that I’ve featured so far from this event, I shot this with the Olympus PEN-F. Unlike the previous six posts, however, this is an in-camera JPEG. I shoot JPEG + RAW with my PEN-F. Often, I like RAWs converted to black and whites, because of the creative control. But sometimes, the JPEG just looks better.
