I’m changing things up. After twenty-one consecutive posts and forty-seven total posts on India over the last two months, I switching to a different topic for a while. I still have a lot more India posts planned and many will feature my most exciting photographs.
Around Christmas last year, the entire family took a trip to San Francisco. While I’ve been to that great city many times, this was one of few times I visited on vacation, as a tourist.
I made this photograph on my way there with the Canon G7X Mark II compact camera. We took off early from Austin and in one of those rare instances, we had a two-hour sunrise that looked pretty much like this. As the sun rose from the east, we travelled west into the darkness, at nearly the same speed. It was an interesting phenomenon.

Very nice. Twivce as nice if one using an iPad clicks through to the gallery display, the once again to fill the screen to the bottom with black.
Thank you, Mike.
Interesting phenomenon indeed, as if the earth were round and spinning… 😉
Is that the way it works. 😉
