We made it to the Devaja Fruit market after lunch, and I immediately jumped back into street photography. I saw this man approaching me on a three-wheeled Honda, and made a quick portrait. I didn’t get his name, but I got his permission via gestures.
Beyond making a decent environmental portrait, I like this photo for a couple more reasons. First, in the background, we see one of those grand architectural structures that I talked about yesterday.
I also like how the two people on the right are curious about this whole tourist photography situation. Let’s just say it was pretty obvious that I was a tourist, and I wasn’t local to Mysore. I like how my micro portrait session attracted a bit of attention. I think it adds to the authenticity and ad hoc nature of this entire photographic experience.
