Lounge, O’Hare Airport – Chicago, Illinois

Another airport, another lounge. I got to O’Hare in Chicago and had time until my final flight back to Austin. As you can see, this place looks completely different from the lounge at Heathrow.

I prefer the lounge in London, but the one in Chicago has its own pluses. Especially, if you find stark modern architecture, interesting, This place reminds me of Moonbase Alpha from the mid-70’s TV Show, Space: 1999.

In reality, this place does look more stylish than a Sci-Fi moon base. But, the very white interior created this strong association.

In the United States, Chicago is an influential city for architecture — particularly the skyscraper. That ubiquitous business structure was first developed in downtown Chicago in the 1880s. This lounge certainly looks more architectural than the average.
