Second-Tier Compromises

Mickey’s Philharmagic, Disney California Adventure – Anaheim, California

I’m sure Mickey’s Philharmagic is a fine show. Though we didn’t see it. Most things at Disney have a certain level of quality. But, the reality is you make compromises because of limited time. We allocated about a day and a half to California Adventure. Not nearly enough to see everything. Inevitably, second-tier attractions get left out.

Of course, it depends on the age of the kids. My boys were nearly 17 and 21 when we went. With younger kids, this show might have elevated higher on the list. Perhaps just to rest. Going around Disney can be tiring with young kids. On the other hand, I can imaging going back again with just my wife in the off-season. With plenty of time and lower costs, we can leisurely see everything.

For now, I have this visual reminder. Since I’m a fan of neon and color, I’m more than happy to just make this picture and spend time seeing the top attractions instead.
