Neon Trees, Downtown Disney – Anaheim, California

I don’t know if this is festive or gaudy, or perhaps it’s both. I took this picture during the Christmas season in 2019, and I’m unsure if these are holiday decorations or everyday art. After an entire day of roaming around California Adventure, we got back to Downtown Disney late at night, where our hotel was located.

Of course, technically, these are not neon. Unlike the true neon that I’m attracted to on buildings. I’m sure these are powered by LEDs. But LEDs Trees as a title doesn’t sound nearly as cool, though more accurate, than Neon Trees.

I explicitly included the fountain in the composition, but maybe I shouldn’t have. I used the lens’s image stabilization to get a long exposure, but 1/10 of a second is not long enough for a stunning effect. It just came out looking a bit messy. Either way, it does capture the colorful evening scene in Downtown Disney.
