Dr. Frankenstein’s Lab, Natural History Museum – Los Angeles, California

I stumbled on something unexpected at the Natural History Museum — Dr. Frankenstein’s Lab. Or at least a simplified recreation of a Hollywood movie. This is Los Angeles, after all.

This is part of the “Becoming Los Angeles” exhibit, I believe. Hollywood and the movie industry are a big part of Los Angeles. And, this exhibit looks at the history of the city. Of course, being primarily a science museum, they tried to inject scientific explanations into the displays. I was more interested in history.

Too bad they didn’t have animated electric sparks. Dim the lights and throw in some arc lighting, and it would’ve made for a compelling, moody photograph.
