The centerpiece exhibit at The Getty Center was Manet, a French modernist painter. I don’t know much about art history. With my limited knowledge, however, even I have heard of Manet. Though perhaps he is not as famous as Monet.
This banner was on full display as we got off the tram. I was certainly interested, and I did visit the exhibit — I’ll showcase it in a future blog post. However, true to my experience with art museums, I’m usually more enamored with the architecture.
As you can see from the exhibition date, there’s visual proof of our visit in December 2019. We were there just after Christmas. A few months before all hell broke loose all over the world.
