Alley and Structure

I love the interplay of nature and the man-made. Though both are highly structured. If anything, without the leaves, the trees look more sculptural than the stonework.

The tree alley is clearly the focal point, at least during the winter. The white stone buildings almost melt into the background. I’m sure the dynamics change dramatically in spring.

We are looking in the opposite direction from the museum pavilions, facing north. The buildings you see are the Conservation Institute and the auditorium. You can tell that the landscape design doesn’t play second fiddle to the architecture. They both work together to create an artistic environment on multiple levels.
