Compared to past Hawaii trips, we visited more places in Honolulu, leaving the Waikiki area bubble. My wife suggested the Kaka’ako Farmers Market on Saturday. It was a convenient bus from Waikiki straight there — we were two of many, headed that way.
Kaka’ako is an up-and-coming industrial area just east of downtown and west of Waikiki. Like many low-priced areas, it’s home to artists and creatives. Increasingly, there is new high-rise construction nearby.
I’ve not been a frequent visitor to farmers’ markets. However, this one looked larger than most. We had such a good time, we went there on two successive Saturdays.
