One experience we splurge on when we go to Hawaii is a catamaran cruise. While we’ve been on the Holokai before. Our favorite is the Maitai, which is an older ship but splashier. Let me explain.
By splashier, I don’t mean fancier. I literally mean more splashy waves. My two sons love being in the very front where the wind-driven catamaran gets hit with buckets of water. For passengers less interested in getting a little wet, drier areas are available towards the rear.
Also in the rear is the steering wheel where I made this candid of the captain and the first mate. The hour and a half trip is a great time. And, the name-sake tropical drink is available for purchase.
