I’m continuing with the Precision Camera Event that I introduced yesterday. In this picture, you’re starting to get an inkling of the old west set that we used — the perfect backdrop for Tyler in period clothing. Notice the wooded structures?
Fujifilm conveniently sponsored the event. And while participants are free to use any camera, I used the opportunity to borrow the GF80mm F1.7 lens and attached it to my own Fuji GFX 50S II. People had a choice of Fuji X gear and even the GFX 100S if they wanted to play around. These events are dangerous. It’s easy to fall in love with the loaner equipment, which I’m sure is part of the plan.
This Fuji GF80mm will probably be my next lens for the GFX. It’s equivalent to a 63mm f1.3 in full-frame terms. This short portrait lens should work well for my occasional Drink and Click meet-ups and is preferable to the 50mm f2.2 equivalent I currently use.
