It’s been many years since my last visit to Times Square, and every visit yields more humongous animated billboards and flashing screens. It’s quite the spectacle. The architecture has received noteworthy upgrades as well. Gone are the dingy buildings of the past. It’s all about soaring and angular glass skyscrapers.
I was looking forward to shooting here at night. But, I snapped a few pictures as Susie and I passed through on the way to dinner. I liked the animated waterfall and waited for a few cycles to make a good image. Above it is the famous ball dropping on New Year’s Eve — you can see the tiny 2022 all the way up there.
Here’s a clean people-less architecture image. The building on the right will also get the glowing billboard treatment it appears — the more, the better in Times Square.
