Drink and Click Portrait: Sirajjah

Sirajjah, Drink and Click Portrait – Austin, Texas

I made today’s portrait in the same location and lighting setup as yesterday’s with Sydney. The only noticeable difference is the way I framed Sirajjah. Shooting further away, I captured a nearly 2/3 instead of a 1/2 view of the subject.

The lighting is better controlled in this picture too. Created by a happy accident since I didn’t move the light — Sirajjah sat in the ideal spot. However, this could’ve easily changed with just slight movements of the model.

I did extra post-processing the accentuate the nearly black background. There are some faint remnants of leaves in the background, which I decided not to remove. Some dodging (brightening) with digital tools allowed me to sculpt the light, though I had a good base image to start.
