I captured the decisive moment at the end of the Chinese New Year celebration this year. The lions lined up, and we got good action from the confetti cannon.
I used the same camera and lens described yesterday, the Fujifilm X-S10 and 50mm f1.0 lens. The 50mm, a 75mm equivalent in full frame terms, isolated the action. To get all three lions in focus, I closed down the aperture to f5, which set the shutter speed to a reasonable 1/1900 per second. Again, well within the mechanical shutter range, as opposed to the electronic shutter I talked about yesterday.
With only three posts, I’m abbreviating the New Year’s celebration coverage. However, I’m adding some more Lunar New Year images from an unexpected source starting tomorrow.
