Home Slice Blue Hour – Austin, Texas

As is the tradition, family members celebrating their birthday get to choose a restaurant for a special treat. Keeping with my simple culinary needs, I picked Home Slice Pizza this year, as I’ve done in the past. It’s my favorite pizza place in Austin.

This image was from back in March, during SXSW 2023, the first weekend after my birthday. I was sporting my Fujifilm X-S10 with the 16mm f2.8, which gives me that unexpectedly versatile 24mm equivalent. It worked nicely here, documenting the restaurant’s facade during Blue Hour.

I started the SXSW 2023 coverage on Friday. I opted to rest on Saturday, coming here with the family, and I went back downtown again on Sunday. So I’m splitting my South By coverage with a Home Slice intermission.
