For my final post for SXSW 2023, I’m closing with a Porsche, which is the way I started the series. This vehicle is considerably newer, though I need help identifying the model. Also, it appears to be a racing car and not a standard retail version. I wonder if it’s street-legal.

The Porsche is parked in front of the Austin Convention Center, ground zero, and central hub for SXSW. Though at 6:30 pm on Sunday, there were very few around, which worked well for capturing this on my way home — no need to contend with the cutter of attendees distracting from the subject.

Besides a small subset of photos with the Fujifilm GFX, I used the Fujifilm X-S10 and the 16mm f2.8 for this year’s SXSW coverage. I unexpectedly found this compact prime lens remarkably versatile and never felt hamstrung by the focal length. In addition, my one-lens setup made it easy, shooting with a lightweight form factor. Expect to see more of this combination in future posts.
