I have one more of the metro, which combines elements from the two previous posts. We are still at Solferino Station, but I feature an action shot complete with motion blur instead of a moody black and white.
We see the outside of the classic Paris metro car I featured yesterday. There’s something about the well-maintained station and train seem gratifying and timeless. It says a lot when a society continues to use perfectly good infrastructure to its utmost. You don’t see old subway cars in New York City; even the newer ones are not as clean. And don’t get me started about the subway stations.
The motion blur of the train and the passengers adds a double sense of dynamism. It adds another dimension to this street photograph, all courtesy of a 1/30-second shutter.
