I realized that yesterday’s post of a famous Renoir painting was deceptive. I somehow captured a scene with only one person — a lucky lull in traffic. I wouldn’t say Musée d’Orsay was packed, like Disneyland, for example. However, a healthy number of visitors came through in waves. Today’s picture shows one of the cresting waves.
Today’s subject is the two women in deep discussion. I love how the activity is swirling around them, some with a slight motion blur. Unlike yesterday’s 1/2-a-second exposure, I sped it up slightly to 1/15th of a second. Still, there’s a bit of dynamism in the image.
A street photograph’s beauty is the story you can create around the image. I have no idea what the women were discussing. Heck, if it were in French, I wouldn’t even understand. They might have been talking about something trivial, or it could be world-changing — who knows.
